Anatek-EP is now offering 2D gel analysis using Proteomweaver software. Gel images scanned into your computer can be uploaded to our website. Optimum scan is 300dpi 16bits. Under these optimum conditions, spot detection is very sensitive, and gel matching is extremely accurate. If molecular size markers and/or pH markers are included the gels can be calibrated.

Replicate gels can be submitted. Analysis of replicates can be done to give the researcher an idea of run-to-run consistency. A replicate group can be averaged and compared with another replicate group.

The computer program can also do "puzzling" that is, piece together gels of a sample run on several small pH unit gradients or gels with samples, which are fractions of a whole.

Data will be returned on a disk. It will include gel images with identified spots circled in red with an ID # related to a table giving intensities for all spots detected.

This program can be used with all stains, Coomassie, silver, fluorescence, and has a special algorithm for DIGE (2D fluorescence difference gel electrophoresis - Amersham Biosciences).

Pricing

1. Standard Package
$100 per gel- analysis package Compare each gel to another - a reference gel may be selected and each gel compared to it
    Spots detected (report total #)
Gels matched (# of spots common to gels)
All intensity data will be returned, but in addition Statistical Analysis will be performed using the Studentized Range Statistic giving the following:

List spots of highest intensity present in one gel and absent in other and reverse.
List spots, present in both gels, with "significant" intensity difference
If calibration markers are present gel can be calibrated.

Up to 5 replicates of each gel may be analyzed as a group using a special Proteomweaver algorithm. This type of analysis can determine the quality of match between gels and improve 2D and staining techniques.

2. Custom Analysis
We accomodate special requests and price accordingly.
